ABOUT

B Forest Hamilton

I'm a business and transactional attorney based in Brentwood, Tennessee, with over 25 years of experience helping entrepreneurs, small businesses, and families navigate the legal decisions that matter most — from forming a company to protecting what they've built.

My career began in complex commercial litigation in Florida, where I spent eight years representing major clients — including Host Marriott, Kellogg School of Business, and Toyota — in high-stakes business disputes. That experience shapes how I approach every matter today: I understand how agreements get contested, which makes me better at drafting them to hold up.

For the past two decades, my practice has been focused on the needs of growing businesses — entity formation, contracts, commercial leases, and business planning. I've helped clients through every stage, from choosing a business structure on day one to conducting due diligence before a major transaction.

I am licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Florida, and Texas. I also held a Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 24 (General Securities Principal), and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent) securities licenses and owned a FINRA registered Broker Dealer — credentials that give me practical fluency in capital markets and fundraising structures that most business attorneys don't have.

What I Do

From choosing the right entity structure (LLC, S-Corp, or C-Corp) to drafting your operating agreement and getting your compliance obligations right from day one. I've formed hundreds of businesses and know where founders make costly early mistakes.

Starting a Business

Contract review, drafting, and negotiation for business owners who need clear, enforceable agreements — without paying big-firm rates. Vendor contracts, service agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, and more.

Contracts & Agreements

Wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives for individuals and families who want their affairs in order. Simple, clear documents drafted without unnecessary complexity or cost.

Estate Planning & Trusts

The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements. Before you decide, ask us to send you free written information about our qualifications and experience.

My practice is based in Brentwood Tennessee and I serve clients locally, throughout Tennessee, and in Florida and Texas.
